Facebook Messenger Dark Edition is popular already. Since it was released less than a week ago, many Facebook users already chose to switch to it. But you didn’t. Let us give you three (3) top reasons why you should switch it!
1. Increase Screen Life
In case you didn’t know, your screen display is powered by light. Screen displays may vary as AMOLED, OLED, TFT LCD, Super AMOLED and etc. And longer screen time means shorter screen life. The more light your screen displays, the faster its screen life decreases.
2. Reduce Chances of Blindness from Blue Light
Yes, Blue Light! The same type of blue light that comes from the Facebook “Blue” theme. According to a research study, the blue light from our smartphones… could be far more dangerous than previously thought, and might even lead to permanent blindness in some cases.
And we all know that Facebook’s color is blue. So let’s not increase our chances of getting blind. Turn that blue thing off and let the darkness rule! (If you know what I mean).
3. Increase Battery Life
This one is rather obvious. If dark themes increase your display screen’s life, then your battery life as well will. Imagine having extra juice on your battery. Isn’t that great?
With dark themed Facebook Messenger, you can expect a longer battery life than the usual. Which means less trip to the outlet for recharging! You don’t have to worry about forgetting your Powerbank. With dark themed apps like Facebook Messenger Dark Edition, you have longer time on staying online without recharging.
Google Smartphone Dark Theme Test Results
Google conducted a power usage test for Dark Themes and Colored Themes. And surprisingly the results are way better than we expected. The power usage of colored themes are significantly higher than the dark themes.
