The Department of Education will conduct the 2018 Brigada Eskwela from May 28 to June 02, 2018 with the theme Pagkakaisa Para sa Handa, Ligtas at Matatag na Paaralan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan. (DepEd Memorandum Number 066 s. 2018)

The Office of the Undersecretary of the Department of Education, USEC Jesus L. R. Mateo, released DepEd Memorandum PFO-2018-0434 last March 23, 2018 which basically sets a lot of information regarding the EoSY status for 2017-2018.

Overtime Services and Payment
To meet the target schedules of all personnel involved in the LIS and EBEIS in all public schools, district, division and regional offices, all are allowed to render overtime (OT) services with pay during weekdays, weekends, and holidays when necessary to meet the target schedules.
At the school level, these OT services can be converted to service credits as prescribed in DepEd Order No. 58, s. 2008, DepEd Order No. 10, s. 2009, and DepEd Order 30, s. 2016. The concerned offices (Finance, Budget and Accounting) should ensure that the overtime services rendered will duly compensated.

Heard of Fake News? How about FAKE DEPED WEBSITE? Yes, there are a lot websites out there where unfortunately, DepEd Teachers have resorted to associate with DepEd. True enough, they share lesson plans, DepEd Orders, DepEd Memos, and even action plans/researches, IPCRF stuff and all. But the question is, are they legit?
Many instances have been reported to us, from the very first time Taga-DepEd Ako facebook page was established – thought TDA is not even a DepEd supported facebook page – where teachers’ lesson plans were posted in certain websites like DepEd Tambayan and DepEd LPS blogspot, without their permission. This goes to show how disrespectful and excuse me for this, CORRUPT these websites are. When they rob teachers from their intellectual right and post their files without their permission. Even to the extent that these websites earn from posting links of downloadable files which they never even owned in the first place. What’s sadder than that is that the majority of DepEd Teachers patronize such corruption.
Let this DepEd Memorandum be clear. THERE IS ONLY ONE WEBSITE where the contents are DepEd Approved and files uploaded were screened, monitored, and quality checked by DepEd personnels. Nothing else but the Learning Resource Management and Development System (LRDMS). If you’re a DepEd teacher, then you can access this site with your DepEd email address. And if you’re looking for summative tests, action researches and all of that, please look into pages and websites that only publishes original content. Not those which are snatched from your co-DepEd teacher without their permission.
